The short version

• We collect only what we need to take an order and deliver it to you.
• We never see or store your full card or bank details. Payment is handled by regulated payment providers.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
• We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.

Who is responsible for your data

SeekMyShop is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@seekmyshop.com for any privacy question or request.

What we collect

1. Information you give us

When you place an order or contact us, you provide:

• Your name and the delivery address (including country and postcode)
• Your email address, and a phone number if the courier requires one
• What you ordered, and any note or preference you include
• The content of any message you send us, including attachments

2. Payment information

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Your card number, bank details and security code go directly to that provider and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only the result of the transaction, a payment reference, and a masked card identifier (such as the last four digits) so we can match a payment to an order and process refunds.

3. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical data when your browser requests a page: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and a summary of your browser and operating system. We use this to keep the site working, to protect it against abuse, and to understand how many people visit which pages.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the bases set out below.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with parties who need it to complete your order or to run the store, and only to the extent needed:

• Payment providers — to authorise and settle your payment and to issue refunds.
• Shipping and fulfilment partners — your name, address, phone number and order contents, so that your parcel can be delivered.
• Hosting provider — this site is served from Vercel, which processes technical request data on our behalf.
• Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information, for example to a tax authority or in response to a valid legal request.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

International transfers

We operate from China and use service providers in several countries. Your data may therefore be transferred to and processed outside the country you live in, including outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where we transfer data out of those areas, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

How long we keep it

• Order and invoice records — kept for up to 7 years, because tax and accounting rules require it.
• Support conversations — kept for up to 24 months, so we can pick up where we left off if you write again.
• Marketing consent records — kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short period afterwards to prove we honoured your request.
• Server logs — kept for a short period by our hosting provider, then deleted automatically.

Cookies and similar technologies

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We honour these requests for all customers, not only where a law compels us:

• Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — we fix data that is wrong or incomplete.
• Deletion — we delete your data, except what we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
• Restriction and objection — we pause or stop certain processing, including direct marketing at any time.
• Portability — we provide data you gave us in a machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent — where we relied on your consent, you can take it back whenever you like.

To exercise any of these, email hello@seekmyshop.com. We reply within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, and access to order data is limited to those who need it to fulfil your order. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

Children

This store is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the last-updated date shown at the top. If the change is significant, we will make it clear on the site.
